Saw Voltaire in Ithaca @ the Haunt last night. It was a great show. Better review to come.
Friday Tiredness + Gala Fullness
Thanks to Jill I went to the Alzheimer’s Assosication 2009 Spring Gala. Mostly it was a benefit dinner. There were some raffles and a silent auction. There was alot of tasty gourmet type foods. You konw the small foods that are served on small plates, but probably cost a ton at a resturatunt. There was some London Broil, mini bugers, mini lobster type things, some soups, meat people with prime rib, ham, chicken. There was a crazy fish station, some pies, pulled pork. It was all really tasty. There were some fun items in the silent auction. We could have gotten them at a good price but I was being good about spending money. Some of the item included some Toronto hotel stays, some nice jewlery, and other craziness. Oh well, maybe next year if we go again I’ll bring some extra cash for the auction. Then there was a raffle. The third prize was a Wegman food basket. I’m not sure what exactly was in it. First prize was a $1000 worth of plane tickets for some airline. Anyway, one of the people at my table had the winning 3rd place ticket. We all cheered then some other lady got up and took the prize. She didn’t have the winning ticket. The one at our table told the people running the raffle but let the confused crazy lady keep the basket so she wouldn’t be embarresed. I would have probably let her keep the basket, but I would have wanted her to know she was wrong. That would have annoyed me so much. I don’t care about the prize as much, but she didn’t really win. AHHHHH!. Overall it wasn’t a bad time with alot of good food and I like food.
Only other thing to say is that I”m happy its Friday. Two more days to Voltaire, whooo!!. I can’t wait to see him with his whole band. Gonna try to go into work tomorrow and get some more stuff done. To much to do. I still need to buy a lawnmower at some point….
Until next time,

Wooo First Real Post
Today was a crazy long day. Work is going to be quite annoying until May 15th when we are supposed to release. They better give everyone the next Monday off.
Well I finally started trying to lose some of this gut again . I’ve planned out a 3 mile route that I can eventually run. Currently this is painful. I think I ran more of it then I did the first time on Sunday. I need to find my Garmin watch to see my speed/progress. This is going to take awhile. I got about 0.5 miles into it and my ankle/calves started hurting, should have stretched out more. My knee was a little sore which I expected. Afterwards I tried to continue some other exercises. I’m trying out the 100 Push Up and 200 Sit Up challenges. 6 week programs that work to achieve 100 push ups and 200 sit ups in one attempt. So far so good. I hope to keep this up, I really want to lose some weight and feel better.
The next fun event of the night is the discovery of the exploded milk. For St. Patty’s Day Jill bought a thing of mint milk (I feel really bad that I never got around to drinking some - the fridge has lots of stuff that needs to be thrown out). The milk went bad and turned blue. Now it looks like there is liquefied smurf in a glass jar. That sat for awhile as the pressure built up. Today we noticed that it exploded. The glass broke and there was blue minty smurf milk all over the fridge and a big puddle in the door shelf in was staying. We got most of it cleaned up, but Gross!
Hopefully I can try to keep up with posting, uploading some pictures, working on projects, and creating a web page for Jill.
Until next time,
